Tribute to Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli – Jazz Swing
Founded in 2015 in Paris, the Norbert Bouche Quartet perpetuates the tradition of french jazz by reinterpreting the music of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli between two countries, France and Greece, with a tour in 2015 in Greece and two participations in the Djangofest in Athens in 2016 and 2017. Articulated around the violinist Norbert Bouche, Benjamin Blackstone’s guitar and Kostas Patsiotis’ double bass intermingle and collide to feed an elegant rhythmic and high-flying solos. With its aerial touch and its free gesture, the quartet is propelled to the heights of swing by Jean-Pascal Molina’s drums.
